We are seeking to recruit a full-time experienced conveyancing fee earner for our Residential Conveyancing team. Part time applicants will also be considered.
You will need to have experience with freehold and leasehold properties (including leasehold flats) registered and unregistered properties. Some experience of dealing with tenancies and repossession proceedings and ability to deal with general property queries e.g. boundary disputes, issues with neighbours etc. is essential. It would also be helpful if you had experience of reading and interpreting building survey reports and acting upon the points arising including instructing and reviewing additional reports obtained.
The work of the team is very interesting and provides residential property services to our existing Court of Protection and Private clients (including Trusts) only; we do not take ‘off the street’ conveyancing and have chosen not to act for lenders. Each matter is different and the team often provide advice to the deputy and other solicitors in the firm, who are buying, selling or dealing with property issues for our clients.
Reporting to Katherine Forster, the solicitor who heads up our property team, the successful candidate will:
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience of all aspects of a residential conveyancing transaction as a fee earner. You will need to have successfully completed either a law degree, the PGDL or ILEX legal qualifications including land/property law or Council of Licensed Conveyancer qualifications.
This is bespoke conveyancing and the applicant will need to be able to produce their own letters, documents and reports and manage the transaction from start to finish in a proactive and timely manner.

Following induction and a period of training, hybrid working is available for the post.
