Karen joined the firm in 2023 as Senior Finance Manager and was appointed Finance Director in October 2025.

She is a Certified Accountant and before joining us was Finance Director and Company Secretary for 13 years with a company which grew during her time there, to one with a £6.5m turnover. Her experience included developing her skills in various aspects of running a company, setting up systems and controls for a new start up, reviewing and developing procedures, statutory compliance, leadership and management.

As Finance Director of Hugh Jones Solicitors, Karen leads a team of five and is a member of the firm’s Board. In addition to being responsible for financial planning & strategy, management information and supervision of the transaction processing team, Karen also has primary responsibility for information technology in the company.
